Our history
About Spinning Spools Quilt Guild
Spinning Spools Quilt Guild (SSQG) was started in 1986, then was established as an Oklahoma not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in October 2006. The Guild operates in accordance with its Bylaws.

The Guild's purpose, as stated in our Bylaws is:
- To stimulate an interest in quilts
- To promote and advance the art of quilt making
- To conduct educational programs and services in all aspects of quilt making
- To preserve our quilting heritage and tradition
- To promote, provide, or contribute to community programs on the basis of charitable principles
- To promote, provide, or contribute to charitable or educational organizations

The Spinning Spools Quilt Guild is managed by a 9-member Board of Directors, which includes the SSQG Officers and other members from the membership at large. Additional activities are coordinated by several Committee Chairs.
