The Spinning Spools Quilt Guild (SSQG) is a group of quilters who are passionate about fabric, sewing, and sharing the pleasure of quilting with others. The SSQG was formed in 1986 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

The SSQG meets on the first Thursday of each month to learn, share, and encourage quilting with others. Additionally, we get together periodically for workshops and Quilt Camps. See the calendar of events for details about the times and locations of the activities and meetings.

The SSQG is a non-profit organization. According to our bylaws, the purposes of the SSQG are:

• To stimulate an interest in quilts
• To promote and advance the art of quilt making
• To conduct educational programs and services in all aspects of quilt making
• To preserve our quilting heritage and tradition
• To promote, provide, or contribute to community programs on the basis of charitable principles
• To promote, provide, or contribute to charitable or educational organizations
